What we do
Lumos is an engineering and manufacturing specialist — not a domestic mirror retailer. Secure Environments is a dedicated technical division focused entirely on non-glass polished aluminium mirror systems for high-security applications.

The Problem
Conventional mirrors generally rely on a glass substrate. In certain custodial or secure environments, glass breakage may represent an unacceptable consideration within the project's wider security and risk-assessment strategy.
A polished aluminium mirror removes the conventional glass mirror substrate from the installation entirely. The reflective surface is a solid metal sheet — there is no glass layer to fracture into shards. The material itself is the mirror.
Selecting a non-glass mirror is one element of a broader specification decision. Lumos works alongside the project's designers, security consultants and contractors so that material selection, fixing methodology, perimeter detailing and substrate interface are considered together — rather than in isolation.
